Journey to Cambodia
Contribute
How many times have you donated money
to a cause in the hopes that it goes to what you intended
it to? The truth is, most of us want to make a difference,
we just don’t know how. Here is your chance. I have
teamed up with a group called “Off the Mat into the
World” (OTM) to personally work with the Cambodian Children’s
Fund,(CCF) in one of the most impoverished areas of our world.
Let’s begin to think more globally, as we are really
all more alike than we are different.
GOAL: To help children in Cambodia by raising
$20,000 by year end. I will personally visit in February 2009
to physically help there.
- We will work with 5 local orphanages
to rescue children from dumpster area where they live to
search for food.
- We will build water well in an
area where there is no clean water.
- An amazing 90% of your donation
will go to help support the housing, feeding, treating and
education of these children. The other 10% goes to a scholarship
fund to teach yoga in low income areas. Please see photos
on Cambodian Children’s Fund websit e www.cambodianchildrensfund.org
- I have found a company willing
to match my personal contribution, so my travel and accommodations
are paid for.
Imagine for a moment what life would
be like for the children in your life if they had nobody.
I am a stay at home mom of three young children, who seldom
even leaves them with a babysitter. When I heard of this opportunity,
it spoke to my heart and I knew I had to go. We can all be
part of making a difference in the lives of over 400 orphans.
Please pass the word on.
